Date-Smartä Bold seed is grown ‘out of season’ by specialists grower for Pseedco to reduce stem numbers in your ware crops to encourage fewer tubers per plant.  This enables tubers to bulk faster and be ready for the higher value Early Baker and Set-Skin Markets.

Pseedco Date-Smartä seed utilises the principle that the time span between initiation of the seed tuber and its subsequent planting has a relationship with both the number of stems and tubers in that ware crop.

This technology compliments techniques such as reduced seed rates and physiological ageing and is a totally new approach to manipulating tuber number.
